Photography is in my blood, so to speak. I come from a line of amateur photographers. I remember being sometimes allowed to hang out with my dad in his makeshift dark room from an early age. My paternal grandfather used to paint his B&W pictures.
My first camera was a Kodak Disc camera, and I loved that little thing. Eventually I moved on to a Minolta SLR, which I still have. Although I have several other cameras, I mainly use a Samsung S85, and my recently acquired Sony a300.
ETA: I just learned that my maternal grandfather was also something of a photographer. My mom told me that he used to take pictures for the phone company (He worked there.), and that he used to develop pictures at home and leave them hanging all around the apartment to dry. (I had no idea. When I find out a little more, I'll include it in here.)
